Health for Ageing Platform

The Spanish SME Precision ForHealth (P4H) has won funding for the development of the H4Ageing Platform. The objective of the project is to validate through genetic tests a personalized nutrition model based on recommendations of food supplements that influence the healthy ageing.

P4H has been selected to receive an innovation voucher, funding granted by the INCLuSilver project to validate their H4Ageing platform in an operational environment. This e-health platform is based on genetic chips that predict how individuals respond to ageing.

INCLuSilver aims to support multisectoral collaboration in order to create optimal conditions for generating and validating innovative ideas in the field of personalised nutrition. This is possible thanks to the Innovation Bonus Program, which has a budget of € 2,800,000. These vouchers will be allocated to SMEs through INCluSilver to benefit a range of 50-170 SMEs.

The objective of H4Ageing, one of the selected projects, is to validate its e-health platform in an operational environment. This innovative system makes it possible to provide the silver population with the best nutritional recommendations adapted to their genetic profile, with the aim of launching on the market a useful tool that favours healthy ageing, offering an integrated solution that offers the combination of genetic analysis with the recommendation of personalised food supplements.

Precision for health (P4H) is a Spin-Off willing to commerzialize and generate profit from the scientific knowledge accumulated over the years in IMDEA Alimentación (research on food and health sciences) and one of the most recognized universities in Spain, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). P4H produces customized reports based on genetic testing. It is a unique modality of precision nutrigenic advice through tests validated scientifically at a functional level.

Natac and Quisper will accompany P4H in the consortium. Quisper will contribute to the project by providing P4H with its server platform (QSP), which will link the information sources of Quisper’s personalized nutrition services with the platform developed by P4H, demonstrating the validity of the service developed. Natac, will contribute to the project through the recommendation of food supplements that favor healthy aging and will be responsible for the development and manufacture of these functional supplements.

INCluSilver Innovation Voucher project H4Ageing has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under INCluSilver grant agreement No 731349.
